Programme: Biological Chemistry

Degree: Bachelor

Language: English

Faculty: Faculty of Natural Sciences

About the programme: Programme graduates have scientific background and insight that enables them to enter the labour market. The biological basis lies in cell biology, microbiology, virology, genetics, molecular biology, animal and human physiology, immunology and biotechnology. Topics in chemistry include general and inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, physical chemistry and biochemistry. Sufficient time is dedicated to mathematics, physics and information technology. In addition to theoretical knowledge, a great emphasis is put on practical skills. More than six hours per week, which represent one‑fourth of the teaching time, are devoted to practical training (in the university lab and private research institutions). Thanks to their education and language skill, programme graduates are able to work in multinational companies, as well as international research teams

Tuition fee: 1,000 €/academic year

Programme: Environmental Studies

Degree: Bachelor

Language: English

Faculty: Faculty of Natural Sciences

About the programme: Programme graduates understand characteristics and attributes of the components of the environment, including humans. They also gain the knowledge in interdisciplinary fields of study characterising basic biotic and abiotic components of the landscape. They improve their knowledge in the field of ecology, landscape ecology, biodiversity, chemistry, geochemistry and protection of natural resources. Attention is also paid to environmental planning, sustainable development and risk assessment of geological hazards. Programme graduates are prepared for work‑oriented rational land use, sustainable development, production and environmental protection, and geohazards assessment, as well as preparation and implementation of projects related to geological, hydrological, biological and geographical environment components. Thanks to their education and language skill, they can be employed in multinational companies, as well as international research teams.
