Programme: Automobiles, Ships and Combustion Engines

Degree: Bachelor

Language: English

Faculty: Faculty of Mechanical Engineering

About the programme: The programme is focused on the field of automobiles and combustion
engines. Programme graduates gain a basic knowledge of general technology subjects in the framework of the study branch cars (generally road vehicles), with the general overview of machinery production and its management, technical knowledge of automotive technology, knowledge of quality evaluation and testing in transportation technology, and on the way how to fulfil legislative requirements put on products. Students can choose from a wide base of the oretical and practical subjects that are focused on technical activity in machinery production,
design of selected parts of transportation technology, mid-range management level of operation
and testing of the transportation technology, as well as on service and consulting tasks. General
focus is on automotive car components – break systems, clutch, gearboxes, suspension systems,
electrical systems (eOBD), chassis components, and active and passive safety of persons in cars.
